Google Timeline Interactive Edition

Google, now one of the world’s most popular search engine, began as a college research project in early 1996 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Ph.D. students at Stanford. They developed the hypothesis that a search engine based on analysis of the relationships between Web sites would produce improved results over the basic techniques then in use.





In this interactive flash movie, you see the the major events in the history of Google since 1995. The events depicted in this movie are picked from The Google Timeline. The Google logos are done by Dennis Hwang, logo designer at .

The flash movie was created using Demo Builder. Google too has an interactive 2004 Year-End Google Zeitgeist.

Google has evolved. On 9/21/99, the beta label came off the Google website.
